Capitol University donated a lot for the building of Drug Rehab dormitory in Upper Puerto named after Madame Gloria Laureana S. Rosales.

The Upper Puerto Drug Treatment & Rehabilitation Center stands on land donated by the late Mme. Gloria Laureana and Engr. Sesenio S. Rosales, the founders of Capitol University. Cagayan Capitol College, now Capitol University, issued a resolution on September 7, 1990 donating 10 hectares for drug rehabilitation and treatment as well as other government projects. Dr. Fe R. Juarez, the CU EVP, spoke during the facility’s turnover ceremony, reminding us that: “Drug addiction is a complex disease that requires long term and extensive treatment. In our country today, reliable and effective drug rehabilitation facilities are crucial, because these centers help addicts recover from their damaged selves and restore their lives.

On behalf of Mme. Laureana, Engr. Rosales, and our entire family, we congratulate the City of Cagayan de Oro and her officials for the humane attempts to quash our society’s drug problem. We shall continue to support your endeavors, and consider us your partners in the pursuit of the growth and development of our beloved youth.”
