Capitol University Alumni Association Tree Planting Activity

With our environment’s present critical condition, the Capitol University Alumni Association (CUAA), Inc. in support with Capitol University Basic Education High School Alumni, Capitol University Alumni Office with the College Alumni Coordinators, Capitol University Graduate School with their Student Body Organizationhas made a move by turning their public intentions into action and has thus initiated a tree planting activity with the cooperation of City Local Environment and Natural Resources (CLENRO) and the Barangay Balubal Local Government. More than 80 volunteers, Alumni, Students and Faculty members from the University, planted At least 200 Mahogany trees at Brgy. Balubal, Cagayan de Oro City last November 25, 2018.

The tree planting event ended successfully. Participating in environmental programs can help preserve, protect, and nurture the natural resources in the community. As such, more efforts should be made to encourage the public to be more environmentally aware.
