CELEBRATES WOMEN’S MONTH 2019

March is the celebration of National Women’s Month (Proclamation No. 227 s. 1988) and March 8 is declared as Women’s Day (RA 6949 s. 1990). Capitol University adhered to the celebration in recognition of the role of women in development highlighting the National Theme: “We Make Change for Women: Empowerment of Women as active contributors to and claimholders of development.”

The Vice President for Academic Affairs together with the Gender and Development unit of CUREXO organized the said event last March 19, 2019 at the Multi-purpose Hall of Capitol University. The celebration emphasized a lecture forum on Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC). The participant audience was composed of the Senior High School Students of the university. It was also attended by the deans of respective colleges and staff.

The event was highlighted by a message from Dr. Fe R. Juarez, the Executive Vice-President of Capitol University whom shared her rich experiences as an empowered woman. It was highly appreciated by the students especially that she accentuated values on respect and equality.
