College of Criminology joins Fun Run Activity

 The College of Criminology participated in the Fun Run event organized byPolice Station 1 with the theme ‘’ POLICE AND COMMUNITY RUN FOR EDUCATION’’on December 09, 2018 (Sunday) at exactly 05:00 o’ clock in the morning at Kiosko Kagawasan, Cagayan de Oro City. This event aimed to raise funds for the Learning on Wheels with Higalang Pulis Project.

The award forthe top three Biggest Delegation and top ten winners in 1K Category came from CU College of Criminology contingents.

College of Criminology HOLDS1st Grand Alumni Homecoming

                TheCollege of Criminology in cooperation with Batch 2004 held its 1st Grand Alumni Homecoming last December 08, 2018 (Saturday) with the objective to reignite the camaraderie among the Alumni and strengthen the bond with the College of Criminology.

The activity started with Friendship Games in the whole morning between the Criminology Alumni versus the Criminology Students held at the CU basketball court. Then the formal program started at 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon at CU Function Hall. Police Superintendent Reynante Royo Reyes of the pioneering batch of 1997was the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the event.






             In the pursuit of an increase goal relevance and stakeholder satisfaction with quality of education services, the Faculty of the College of Criminology joined together for a benchmarking activity conducted at the Mega Crime Laboratory with the guidance and assistance of PSSUPT Mary Leocy J. Mag-Abo, the Chief of Regional Crime Laboratory Office 11, Davao City last November 23 – 24, 2018. It was successfully and actively participated by Dr. Charlyn S. Janog, Dr. Edgar Gary R. Vasallo, Jr., Ms. Mary Claudette C. Lucenta, Mrs. Reyna Jean P. Pagon and Ms. Charyl Ann D. Lumanog.

            The said activity aimed to discover and adopt new practices that strengthen the academic competency standard of the Faculty in the field of criminalistics.


 Dr. Charlyn S. Janog PRESENTS PAPER IN THE 3rd International Research Forum



            Dr. Charlyn S. Janog, the Dean of the College of Criminology presented her paper entitled, “A 5 Year Criminology Faculty Teaching Evaluation Results Analysis: Basis for Faculty Training Needs Enhancement at the 3rd International Research Forum at Development Academy of the Philippines, Tagaytay City on November 28 – 29, 2018. The International research forum called for papers with the theme, “Exploring Possibilities through Multidisciplinary Research”.

College of Criminology Students conducts Actual Field Surveillance

Last September 29, 2018 (Saturday) the First Year Students who were enrolled in the subject Fundamentals to Criminal Investigation and Intelligence conducted an “Actual Surveillance”. The activity’s purpose is to ensure that the theories learned inside the classroom shall be used in the real situation of surveillance and other related activities of Intelligence.

Students were grouped and assigned to different Subjects who were Police Officers and experts on Intelligence. Their goal is to make sure that they will follow the subjects (Police Officers) activities for the whole day without being detected.

After the actual field surveillance, a Debriefing about the activity was conducted at Criminology AVR.
