Dr. Edwin C. Du, Dean of the CU Graduate School was elected President of the Council of Deans of Graduate Schools in Region 10 (CDGS-X) last May 24, 2021.

According to their website (http://cdgsr10.org.ph/), the Council of Deans of Graduate Schools, Region X (CDGS-X) was organized towards the end of the 1990s upon the initiative of Dr. Glory S. Magdale as CHED 10 Regional Director, mainly to serve as conduit of information from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) national and regional offices. It also served as an avenue where regulatory pronouncements were discussed and clarified.
