General Objectives of Student Personnel Services

1. Athletics Office

a. Provide many opportunities for our students to participate in sports.
b. Promote and develop teamwork.
c. Provide students with the opportunity to become competitive in various sports.
d. Encourage active participation in the Extra Curricular Activities.
e. Develop leadership skills through sports.
f. Establish a sports program that develops the student’s self-esteem, confidence, responsibility and self-reliance.
g. Foster positive relations with the community.
h. Instill school pride among the student body, parents and alumni.
i. Glorify God in all we do.

2. Campus Ministry

a. To grow in the Knowledge and love of God through Liturgical services, recollections, retreats, seminars and workshops.
b. To call on and encourage members of the University community to share their God-given talents and to minister to other’s needs by responsible and actives participation in Campus Ministry Activities.
c. To provide opportunities for members of the University community to deepen their understanding of their own religious beliefs in order to authentically lived it out in their daily lives.
d. To program ecumenical activities and inter-faith dialogue in order to enrich each others spiritual life and foster communion among CU Students, teaching and non-teaching staff of different religious affiliation.
e. To facilitate the spiritual and emotional maturity of each member of the University community through spiritual direction, guidance and counseling.

3. Cultural Office
a. To extend financial and economic assistance such as subsides and artist funds to promote cultural development and protect artist and cultural workers.
b. To encourage and support scholarly research, the retrieval of cultural research information (e.g. folklore, dance, music, crafts) through the training of students, teachers and cultural researchers and the documentations of Philippines cultural traditions, arts and crafts in the region which may be adopted for the creation of contemporary art forms.

c. To ensure that the ultimate beneficiaries of all research efforts and other nurtured rather than violated, damaged or exploited.
d. To explore and adopt the best possible structure of relationship between the public and private sector at the local level, taking into account varying socio-cultural situations.
e. To conserve and promote the nation’s historical and cultural heritage by supporting/maintaining a museum and library.
f. To encourage, support and systematize the audio-visual documentation of Filipino cultural expressions in the contemporary period.
g. To ensure the widest dissemination of artistic and cultural products among the greatest number across the country and overseas for their appreciation and enjoyment with the cooperation of the Department of Education, Cultural Center of the Philippines, National Commission for Culture and Arts, Department of Tourism, Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Foreign Affairs and other concerned agencies both private and public.
h. To develop an intensified arts education program at all levels of the educational system to ensure meaningful arts integration cross the school curriculum.
i. To encourage and support programs through publications, exhibition, production, performance, staging and reproduction of original Filipino creations.
j. To coordinate and provide technical and/or financial assistance for cultural events and related activities such as cultural festivals, competitions, lectures seminar, forum and symposia.
k. To create and support a sustained program on international cultural exchange, scholarship, travel grants and other forms of assistance.
l. To encourage and supports the continuous training of cultural workers and administrators by qualified trainors.
m. To ensure that standards of excellence are pursued in programs and activities.
n. To generate resource both from the government/non-government and cultural institutions/agencies for a assistance in any form.
o. To receive and accept donations and other conveyance including funds, materials and services by gratuitous title.
p. To submit periodic reports including recommendations to the University President.

4. Dental Services

a. To promote an effective Dental Health program specially to the students of CU.
b. Implement annually a reliable and suitable Dental Health Services, Programs and Projects to the CU populations.
c. The CU in as will be fully aware and conscious enough on the importance of good dental hygiene in their daily lives.

5. Food Services

a. To set the criteria for safety and sanitary conditions of food outlets within the compound on the institution.
b. To coordinate with local government units and agencies for the safety of food services outside the school premises.

6. Guidance Services

a. To administer, score and interpret standardized psychological test by qualified personnel.

b. To interpret test results to students, teachers and concerned individuals e.g. parents.
c. To make use of the profession services of licensed counselor for gender sensitive individual and group counseling.
d. To provide counseling booths to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of counseling sessions.

7. Health Services

a. Primary health care services administered by licensed medical, dental and allied professionals are made available to all students.
b. Adequate facilities for health care and updated health records are kept and maintained.

8. Medical Services

a. To conduct annual physical examination for both students and faculty/non-teaching staff.
b. To provide free medical consultation and treatment of minor illness.
c. To prevent communicable disease through immunization and education.
d. To make proper referral of major problems to specific medical consultant.
e. To maintain safe, clean and healthy environment.
f. To provide safe and portable drinking water.
g. To promote students awareness of health and nutrition.

9. Student with Special Needs

a. To make available Academic accommodations to persons with disabilities and learners with special needs.
b. To provide programs for life skills training e.g. conflict management.
c. To do referrals whenever necessary.
