OFFICE DESCRIPTION

Capitol University establishes the Office of Internationalization and Linkages (OIL), in alignment with its mission to cultivate a globally recognized learning environment and to enhance the quality of life for Filipinos. OIL will leverage CU’s local and global relationships, promote international engagement, and integrate diverse perspectives to enrich the educational experience. This initiative aims to fortify and expand CU’s local and global connections, deepen international engagement, and seamlessly integrate international, intercultural, and global perspectives across academic and institutional frameworks.

With a clear focus on enriching the educational experience, the OIL serves as a catalyst for instilling a profound understanding of global issues and dynamics, ensuring that all stakeholders are equipped with the requisite skills and perspectives to thrive in an interconnected world. Moreover, the OIL shall aid in promoting global competence and diversity, recognizing the transformative impact of providing individuals with a broadened worldview, and preparing them to navigate and succeed in an increasingly globalized society.

Through targeted initiatives and strategic partnerships, the office aims to create a dynamic learning environment that celebrates cultural diversity, fosters cross-cultural dialogue, and promotes global standards across the CU community.

MISSION

The mission of the Office of Internationalization and Linkages (OIL) at Capitol University is to:

A. Facilitate Local and International Collaboration

Establish and nurture partnerships with academic institutions, organizations, and agencies worldwide to promote collaboration in education, research, and innovation.


B. Foster Global Perspectives

Provide opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to engage with diverse cultures, ideas, and perspectives through international programs, exchanges, and initiatives.


C. Enrich Educational Experience

Enhance the educational experience of the Capitol University community by integrating global perspectives, experiences, and best practices into the curriculum, teaching, and learning activities.


D. Promote Social Transformation

Empower students to become “TOTAL PERSONS” who are intellectually, professionally, and technically competent, imbued with desirable attitudes, and committed to serving as catalysts for social transformation in their communities and beyond.

Develop and implement international programs, exchanges, and initiatives that provide students, faculty, and staff with opportunities for cross-cultural learning, academic enrichment, and personal growth.

C. To Integrate Global Perspectives

Integrate global perspectives, experiences, and best practices into the curriculum, teaching, and learning activities across disciplines to prepare students for success in a globalized world

D. To Enhance Institutional Reputation

Enhance the reputation and visibility of Capitol University both nationally and internationally through active participation in global networks, conferences, and initiatives

E. To Promote Social Responsibility

Promote social responsibility and civic engagement among students, faculty, and staff by encouraging participation in international service-learning projects, volunteerism, and community engagement activities
